THE PAI LUM SALUTATION HAND MOVEMENTS
Circle 1
- Allow the arms to swing forward, meeting at
the body center line.
When the hands meet at the center line, the
right hand forms a fist and the left hand covers it. - Pivot the
elbows, causing the hands to circle up and to the rear.
- Droop
the shoulders, and drop the elbows and continue the circular motion,
allowing the hands to circle forward to where they originally met.
Circle 2- Separate the hands and raise them
above the shoulders at shoulders width in tiger claw position.
-
Claw down to about abdomen height.
- Place the backs of the
hands together, circling the hands down and in towards the body.
- Continue to circle the hands up and extend the hands and arms out
to the front, separating the hands to shoulder width and dropping them
back down to abdomen height.
- Continue the circling motion,
pulling the hands back to the sides, in inverted fist position, at
elbow height.
