THE PAI LUM SALUTATION HAND MOVEMENTS

Circle 1
  1. Allow the arms to swing forward, meeting at the body center line.
When the hands meet at the center line, the right hand forms a fist and the left hand covers it.
  2. Pivot the elbows, causing the hands to circle up and to the rear.
  3. Droop the shoulders, and drop the elbows and continue the circular motion, allowing the hands to circle forward to where they originally met.

Circle 2
  1. Separate the hands and raise them above the shoulders at shoulders width in tiger claw position.
  2. Claw down to about abdomen height.
  3. Place the backs of the hands together, circling the hands down and in towards the body.
  4. Continue to circle the hands up and extend the hands and arms out to the front, separating the hands to shoulder width and dropping them back down to abdomen height.
  5. Continue the circling motion, pulling the hands back to the sides, in inverted fist position, at elbow height.
